At the age of seven, herbrother was diagnosed with Childhood Onset Bipolar Disorderand shortly thereafter with an intellectual and developmentaldisability. Over the past 15 years, the journey has presentedTricia and her husband with many challenges as well asprovided them many opportunities to learn from their mistakes.During this presentation, Tricia will speak briefly about ACES(Adverse Childhood Experience) study and provide a glimpseinto the effect adverse childhood experiences had on herlife and the lives of her siblings while also exploring the roleof resiliency has played. She will also provide informationregarding lessons learned from Birth to Three through herbrother’s transition into adulthood.
